 Home-Start celebrated their first Black Tie Ball on 1st October 2005 at The Hilton Metropole Hotel, the theme was "The Moulin Rouge", this French event was attended by over 400 corporate guests and was organised by Property for Kids Committee in Birmingham.
Some of the sponsors included :- Le Moulin Rouge Paris, BMI Baby, BRMB, British Airways, Crown Plaza, DSM Demolition, GVA Grimley, Simpsons Restaurant, Faithful & Gould, The REP Theatre, John Lewis Partnership, Molton Brown, Greenscene, Cielo Restaurant, Slater Menswear, NG Bailey and Breakthrough Life Coaching.
The entertainment for the evening included Moulin Rouge dancers and circus acts, can can audience participation, a raffle and auction. the guests enjoyed fine cuisine and wines and danced the night away till the wee small hours!
The evening was a very glamorous affair and extremely successful, it has to be one of the most talked about charity events of the year, we managed to raise over £32,000! The proceeds will be used to purchase a much needed Mini-Bus for The charity, to enable us to take the children at Home-Start on educational visits, trips and essential appointments.
We would like to thank all the wonderful companies who supported this fantastic event, we are extremely grateful to you all. Your generosity will make a significant difference to many young children that Home-Start is currently supporting.
